So Stacey's post about music for walking totally made me want to make my own list, and since I'm being self-indulgent and wasting the entire day anyway, here's my list of songs that give me that happy expansive feeling when I'm making the 2 hour drive to Sag Harbor by myself, and singing along:

A good day

I've decided yesterday was a good day. i spent most of the day thinking it was a bad day, but Mandy came home from school and turned it around by eating broccoli (never happened before, even when we told her it was baby trees), and asking me to read Where the Wild Things Are, Bears Bears Bears, and In the Night Kitchen over and over. She likes Sendak and They Might Be Giants, my work is done (until it's time for Jane Austen.)

Guggenheim

I had a dream last night about an apartment where I could see the Guggenheim museum across a body of water from the bedroom window. Not possible in reality, but it was pretty.

We took my neice to the aquarium for her third birthday last weekend, and she was quite in love with the seals.
