I should have asked for a new scanner for Christmas. It's so frustrating to spend hours on a painting, then scan it to find out that none of the subtle colors show up at all. maybe a more skilled person could tweak it somehow, but I just make it worse every time.
I am a writer and illustrator of children's books (no, not published yet.) I also spent several years as a pre-school teacher for children with autism.

What are you using to tweak them after you scan them? I can try to give you some pointers, but you may already know everything I know...
