Routine

I'm trying to get in the habbit of sitting at my desk for at least an hour first thing in the morning, before all the daily stress settles in, but I really have to start earlier. If I could just make myself get up before everyone else in the house I wouldn't have to worry about interuptions, or get distracted by what's going on upstairs. I don't want to set an alarm, but it's so hard to make myself go to bed early when late at night is the only time Chris is avaiable to spend any time together. I remember in school it was always my female teachers who talked about having to schedule their creative time like this. I didn't think it would be such an issue until I had kids though.

G is for Green

You might say 'Ladybug doesn't start with G!' but I happen to know that this particular ladybug is a girl.

D is for Double Bubble

I finished this letter sometime in September, but spent a couple of months hating it, then I found this article about Zubbles and was inspired to look at it again.

Supplies

There is an AC Moore Arts and Crafts superstore just 10 minutes down Union Turnpike! Hurray! They have a huge paper section. I can't wait until I actually have time to shop there.

aah!

It just occurred to me that it's time to start designing holiday cards. So tempting to buy them, but they make such good portfolio filler.

Foliage

My family came to visit today. We went to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx to see the Japanese Autumn Garden. It was gorgeous, but the colors outside the conservatory were just as spectacular.

I am Super

Chris went out while I was watching Smallville and came back with this hat.

30

So we went to see Rufus Wainwright at the Beacon Theatre last night. Awesome, especially the finale: Britney Spears choreography with the entire band dressed in togas- really funny. The horn players from Conan O'Brien were there, as well as a violinist, bass/cellist, backup singers, the whole nine yards. He played all my favorites (except Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk.)It was the perfect way to turn 30.
